For years, Uncle Yo fought a vicious campaign against his major nemeses, convention chair Andrew Corbin and Robot Yo. Sometime during a mutual friend’s graduation party, Corbin planted a double-agent with the intent of destroying Uncle Yo: an irresistible cupcake of unfathomable deliciousness, with a calorie count of over 9,000! The delicious happy fluffly pink cupcake of redundant happiness. In order to shatter Uncle Yo’s spirit, Corbin waited until Yo proposed to the cupcake before Evil Yo shot it through the frosting, splattering the gooey innards across the field and ruining Yo’s trademark silver tie. Luckily, since the cupcake was literally a dime-a-dozen, Uncle Yo picked up another and continued the proposal, since he lost the receipt for the engagement ring, a new cupcake was simply cheaper.
Though they had a brief separation during Yo’s “fat-free era” of the mid 90’s, where he tasted the bagel of betrayal and the scone of disappointing rebounds, they found each other once again as soon as Uncle Yo regained his memory from a parallel universe.
But since then, the cupcake (along with the other Manga-moticons) have accompanied Yo to many conventions, smother con-goers with joy and laughter like a cream cheese spreading. Part lover, tormentor, prophet, podcast co-host and soccer rival, the delicious happy fluffy pink cupcake of redundant happiness has become part of the Uncle Yo composition, along with the silver tie, the black button-down shirt, and the giant green D20.
