Fan Art Competition Announced!

So I’ve been hinting at it for some time, and I guess it’s time to come clean. (Oh joy)

Uncle Yo: Live at Drom, the DVD is real (rapture). I have seen the footage, and I’m pretty darn proud of it. It’s gonna be loaded with extras, plus a few inserts and some fun post-production. All that’s missing now is the cover art. (oh noes)

If you (or the Yeerk controlling your brain) is reading this, then you are invited to submit your artwork for the chance to be the face of my DVD (woah, Maka). 3 winners will be selected: one for the front, one for the back, and one for the DVD cover itself! So your chances have just been increased exponentially. (huzzah chances)

But hurry, the competition’s deadline is midnight, NOVEMBER 19th. From there, we will have a voting poll put on the front of UncleYo.com and your artwork’s fate, and mine, and the DVD’s, will be left up to you.

Things to consider:
Submissions must be e-mailed to uncle_yo@hotmail.com.
Submissions must be JPEG files of the highest resolution.
Winners receive gloating rights, a free, signed copy, and a “Get-Out-Of-Death-Note-Free” Card.
Full copyright of the image must be given to me.
Avoid copyrighted images. Universal symbols, however (a Cadillac and/or a dinosaur) are totally encouraged.

• While filming something for Zenkaikon today two kids stop me in the middle of the street, "Is that Uncle Yo?" #

I’m in a Web Comic

So a big thanks to the parody band Leet Street Boys for introducing me to their web comic’s writer, Geoffrey Golden, because starting TODAY Uncle Yo is a guest character on their website’s comic strip. Look for me and the boys in this new story arc as they face off against their rivals in a battle of the bands with everything at stake!

Other than that, if you follow my Twitter, you noticed I was featured as a guest for YouthMic 89.9fm. Expect the full interview up soon. A big thank you to the Devins for hosting my and Clyde – we had a lot of fun. Eventually it should be posted here. We’ll have to find a way to get my voice out there more permanently. I’ll talk to Evan at anigamers.com and see if we need another podcast episode soon.
