When Can I Play Bioshock Already?!

This past weekend, none of us knew what to think going into INOCHICON right on Market Street in Philadelphia.

It was a first year con, in the middle of a city in a state which plenty of conventions.

But lo and behold: Inochicon was the most casual party I’ve ever attended. The Loews Hotel was BRILLIANT (looked just like the hotel from Inception, very Art Deco). Reni Mimura was in rare, delightful form, the LeetStreet Boys were crushing the concert scene, and photographer Gerardo Flores turned into a con hero being the ONLY cosplay photographer there, bringing light and coverage to a con that was just as busy on Sunday as it was on Saturay. Vendors left happy, the staff was most helpful and pleasant, and most importantly, the con-goers left happy.

I got to recreate the sequel to my underground video, Bees Everywhere.
Got to see a lot of folks from Zenkaikon, already anticipating the joy of Zenkaikon 5 coming in March. We have very, VERY large plans this year.

In the meantime, while I work and fine-tune season 4 material, I bring up a couple of points for the fall.
New York Anime Festival/New York Comic Con: I have seen what they have in store. You cannot afford to miss this.
– Otaku Mex in Albuquerque. I’m going back to the Southwest with a fiery passion to match the surrounding deserts. It’s game-on, Kiddies, so NOBODY leaves disappointed.

Other than that, I’ve got a few stories of interest:
- I am dedicating October to posting about pumpkin/fall-specific foods I discover around New York City. Just to keep the ol’ blog fingers warmed up.
- I intend to sneak into Bakuretsucon (will I ever spell that con, right?) in October.
- I am running out of sisters to marry off.
- With a lot of help from the Front Row Crew, Newgrounds.com’s own Kirbopher, and some elbow grease, my voice-over demo is finally up and edited. Time to send that baby off. I’ll upload it to the Media Page very soon. demo-reel-Karl-Custer
- There is a new trailer for the Bioshock prequel coming out in 2012.

I’ve got a pile of DVD’s with your name on it. You know how and where to find me, and I have your hair in a little jar beneath my bed.

Catch you soon,

~Yo
