AnimeNEXT Wrap-Up
So my schedule got a little tweaked last minute, but it’s only natural. It seems my schedule included:
- The Big Bald Broadcast geeky podcast
- Fanviews and Criticism with Anigamers.com
- Baron Muncahusen’s Story-Telling RPG
- Anti-Twilight Discussion
- Super Mario Panel
- Stand-up Performance in Main Events
- A charity Dunk Tank (Thank you, Toph, for your nearly $20 donations.)
- As the Otaku Grows
- Shame of the Otaku
- Whose Line is it Anyway with Tony Oliver and Greg Ayres (where the Queen of Cupcakes made her first appearance)
- Stand-up Performance in Main Events
Even after the show when the Yu-Gi-Oh Abridged Series team went out for dinner and Toy Story 3 afterward, this was hands down the best convention experience I have had of this year. The fans were in rare form for respect and joy, the cosplays were amazing, and the staff kept the show together. I met a lot of new friends I had made during the tour this spring. But having nearly 12 events to work, I was always busy, speaking, and making connections with people my own generation and the one before. The Main Events stage, combined with the thunderous welcome I got when stepping onto the stage was….
You remember when your teacher asked you what you wanted to be, and your imagination leapt into the clouds and looped around the stars as you went for the biggest, most illogical goal of all time? It was like achieving that. Thank you to all friends and staff who made me feel like a super-star.
Big big BIG news, Uncle Yo’s DVD trailer is up now on Youtube care of Digital Era Entertainment:
We’ll see you at Connecticon for yet another insanely busy schedule.
